The time-looping shooter Lemnis Gate is shutting down, its developers have announced. Ratloop Games said in a blog post that the game will be removed from sale on all platforms on April 11. Multiplayer servers will remain online until July 11, 2023, but after that, the game’s online modes will be unplayable.
“Lemnis Gate has been an ambitious project that we are privileged to have brought to life together, so it’s with sadness that we share this news today,” the developer said.
On console, local multiplayer and training modes will remain available. However, PC players are being locked out entirely.
“We want to thank you all for your support with Lemnis Gate, joining us for many incredible rounds in the loopVenir de Tragamonedas Gratis Online. We’ve truly loved seeing your passion for the game, the mind-bending strategies you created and how you embraced this innovative twist on the FPS genre,” the developer said.
In the turn-based FPS Lemnis Gate, players control a team of operatives, and each round lasts 25 seconds. The actions players take within a round are locked in and repeat each round. This means players are fighting in the past, present, and future at the same time.
Lemnis Gate was a day-one new release for Xbox Game Pass in 2021, but the game was removed from the Game Pass library a year later in September 2022. It was among GameSpot sister site Metacritic’s highest-rated shooters of 2021.
